Manage Power and Humanity to Avoid Cyberpsychosis
Understanding Power Management
Robotic parts consume power constantly. You'll need to recharge regularly using power cells or energy sources found in laboratories. If your power depletes completely, your implants will stop functioning until you restore energy. Plan your exploration routes to include recharge stations or carry spare power cells.
Tracking Your Humanity Meter
Each installed part reduces your humanity score. Installing too many parts too quickly triggers cyberpsychosis—a dangerous state where you lose control and suffer negative effects. Your humanity recovers over time when you're not installing new parts, so pace your upgrades.
Avoiding Part Rejection
Part rejection occurs when your body can't handle the cybernetic load. Symptoms include reduced effectiveness of your implants and stat penalties. To prevent this, space out your installations and maintain a healthy humanity level.
Finding Balance
The key is moderation: install parts strategically, take breaks between upgrades, and monitor both meters constantly. A fully upgraded player is powerful but fragile—sometimes a balanced build with fewer parts is more reliable for long-term survival.
