How to Keep Aiming Zoom but Remove Flying and Underwater FoV Changes

Use Per-Effect Scaling

This mod lets you scale each FoV source independently, so you don't have to choose all-or-nothing. Open the config and find FoV Effect Scaling. You'll see separate entries for speed, sprinting, aiming, flying, and submerged. To keep aiming zoom while removing the others:

1. Leave the aiming entry at 100% (or your preferred value).

2. Set flying to 0%.

3. Set submerged to 0%.

4. Optionally set speed and sprinting to 0% as well.

Confirm Effect Mode Allows Your Changes

For these per-effect values to matter, FoV Effect Mode must not be set to Vanilla only or None. Use All or Modded only. Also remember the vanilla FOV Effects slider stacks on top — if flying still shifts your view, lower that slider. Test by entering water and by taking off with elytra or in creative flight; the camera should stay steady in both cases while right-click aiming still zooms in. Save the config and reload before testing.
