How to Disable All Field of View Changes in Custom FoV Mod

Using Static FoV

If motion sickness or distracting zoom effects are ruining your game, the fastest fix is Static FoV. Open the mod's configuration file (found in your Minecraft config folder) and enable the Static FoV option. This locks your field of view so that no vanilla changes — sprinting, flying, aiming, or potion effects — will alter it. This is the nuclear option: everything stops moving.

Using FoV Effect Mode Instead

If you want finer control, look for the FoV Effect Mode setting. It lets you choose between:

  • All — every FoV change applies (vanilla + modded).
  • Vanilla only — only the base game's changes apply.
  • Modded only — only changes added by this mod apply.
  • None — no FoV changes at all.

Setting it to None achieves a similar result to Static FoV but keeps the mod's other scaling options available if you later change your mind. Save the file and reload the game (or the config, depending on your setup) for changes to take effect. If one option doesn't fully stop the effect you dislike, try combining Static FoV with Effect Mode set to None.
