Troubleshooting: Music Track Overlay Not Appearing
First checks
Confirm the mod is actually loaded — if it isn't present in your mod list, nothing else will help. Next, verify that Minecraft's own music is enabled and its volume slider is above zero, since the mod can only report tracks the game is playing. Finally, check the mod's config file: the overlay can be configured off, so an entry there may be suppressing it.
Narrowing it down
- No music at all: this is a Minecraft sound settings issue, not a mod issue.
- Music plays but no overlay: the overlay is likely disabled, mispositioned off-screen, or set to a duration so short it flashes past. Adjust position and duration in the config.
- Overlay appears but is unreadable: change its color, or move it away from bright or busy parts of the screen.
- Overlay conflicts with another HUD mod: relocate it to a free area.
When to suspect a conflict
If the overlay works in a minimal setup but vanishes once other mods are added, another mod is probably drawing over the same region or altering music playback. Test with the overlay moved to a different screen position before assuming the mod itself is broken.
