How to Move and Restyle the Music Track Overlay
Editing the config file
The overlay's appearance is controlled through the mod's config file rather than an in-game menu. Open the config file with a plain text editor while the game is closed, change the values you want, save, and then launch the game. Editing while Minecraft is running risks your changes being overwritten when the game saves its settings on exit.
What you can change
The config exposes the overlay's position, how long it stays on screen, its color, and its behavior. Because the exact option names differ between mod versions, read the comments and existing entries in the file itself — most config files label each option and often list the accepted values next to it. Change one option at a time and reload the game to confirm the effect, so you always know which entry produced which result.
Practical tips
- If the text sits behind other HUD elements, shift its position toward a corner you don't otherwise use.
- If it disappears before you can read it, increase the duration value.
- If it's hard to read against bright terrain, adjust the color and check whether a background or shadow option exists in the file.
- Keep a backup copy of the config before large edits so you can restore known-good settings.
