How to Make the Cubic Sun and Moon Show Up in Your World

Confirm the Pack Is Active

A 3D sun and moon only appear when the resource pack is actually loaded on top of your current pack stack. Open Options → Resource Packs and check that Cubic Sun & Moon sits in the *Selected* column, above any other pack that also touches sky textures. If another sky or shader-style pack is layered above it, that pack's flat sun and moon will win, and you will see no depth at all.

Match Your Sky Settings

Once the pack is on top, the celestial bodies render as real geometry rather than flat sprites, so they only look right when your sky is visible:

  • Turn Clouds on (or to Fast) so the sun and moon have something to sit against.
  • Keep Fancy Graphics enabled; the cube faces need the higher render path.
  • If you use a shader pack, load it *after* this resource pack and pick a shader that does not replace the sun/moon textures, otherwise the shader overrides the cubes.

Verify In-Game

You should see the sun as a rotating cube with visible faces rather than a flat disc. If it still looks flat, you have a conflicting pack above it — drag Cubic Sun & Moon to the top of the list and reload with F3 + T (reload resources) instead of restarting the game.
