How to Combine Cubic Leaves with Other Resource Packs

Why Order Matters

Resource packs stack, and the one higher in the Selected list overrides the ones below it for any texture they share. Cubic Leaves only touches leaf textures, so it plays well with packs that change stone, wood, GUI, or sounds — but it will conflict with any pack that also redraws leaves.

Setting Up a Stack

1. Open Options, then Resource Packs.

2. Move Cubic Leaves to the top of the Selected column if you want its leaves to win. Move it below another pack if you prefer that pack's leaves and only want Cubic Leaves as a fallback.

3. Add your other packs underneath in the order you want them to apply.

4. Click Done and let the game reload textures.

Resolving Conflicts

  • If leaves look half-changed, two packs are fighting over the same files. Remove one or reorder them.
  • If a pack changes leaf block models rather than just textures, it may override Cubic Leaves entirely regardless of order — test by disabling the other pack temporarily.
  • Keep your list short. Fewer packs means fewer surprises and faster load times.

Testing

Load a world with several tree types and fly over a forest. If every species shows the denser Cubic Leaves style, your order is correct.
