Making a Passive Ghast Tear Farm for Potions and Crafting

What You Need

Ghast tears are used in potions of regeneration and in crafting end crystals. If you need a steady supply, this mod lets you get them without hunting ghasts. You will need a safe Nether outpost, a hopper, a chest, and some building blocks. No weapons required.

Building the Farm

Construct a small room in the Nether with a solid roof and walls, leaving one side open with fence posts or iron bars so you can see out. Ghasts need open space to spawn and float, so clear a large area around your room. Place hoppers on the floor beneath the open side, feeding into a chest. Stand inside the room. As long as you are within the configured distance, ghasts will occasionally cry and drop tears, which fall into your hoppers.

Improving Output

If tears are not appearing, check that ghasts are actually nearby and that you are within range. You can widen the collection area with more hoppers or a water stream if you are in the Overworld. In the Nether, water evaporates, so use hoppers or minecart hoppers instead. Consider lowering the delay in the config for a faster farm, but keep it reasonable so the game stays balanced. Check your chest periodically and enjoy your tear supply.
