Farming Ghast Tears Peacefully Without Fighting Ghasts

Why This Mod Helps

Normally you have to kill ghasts to get tears, which is dangerous and slow. With Crying Ghasts installed, ghasts shed tears on their own whenever a player is within range. That means you can stand still, do nothing, and still collect tears over time. This is ideal for peaceful-style playthroughs or for players who want tears for potions and crafting without risking death in the Nether.

A Safe Standing Spot

Find or build a sheltered area in the Nether where ghasts naturally wander nearby. A roofed box with a fence window works well: you are protected from fireballs, but the game still counts you as close to the ghast. Every so often a ghast will cry and drop a tear.

Collecting Without Chasing

Put a hopper under the spot where tears land. If ghasts drift, you may need a wider collection area or multiple hoppers. You can also just walk over and pick tears up manually if you prefer. Because the mod uses a delay between drops, expect a slow but steady trickle rather than a burst. Leave the game running in the background if you want passive income, but stay within range or the crying stops.
