How to Configure the Crosshair Indicator to Suit Your Playstyle

Finding the settings

Because this mod changes the crosshair rather than adding a HUD element, most of what you will want to adjust lives in the mod's own config. Open your mod list, locate Crosshair Indicator, and open its configuration screen. If a screen is not available, the mod's config file can be edited directly and reloaded. The exact option names depend on your installed version, so read the labels rather than assuming.

What to tune

Typical things players adjust are the visual style of the hittable and unhittable states — for example whether the crosshair changes shape, colour, or both — and whether the indicator is active at all times or only in certain situations. If you find the change too distracting during building or mining, look for an option that limits the indicator to combat or to when a player is in your line of sight. If you play with a custom crosshair resource pack, check whether the mod overrides it and whether you can disable that override. After changing anything, test it against a target so you can confirm the two states are still clearly distinguishable. The goal is a crosshair that reads instantly at a glance without pulling your attention away from the fight.
