How to Tame and Control Wild Critters

Taming Critters with Farmer's Treat

Wild critters can be dangerous—they may destroy crops, spread weeds, or explode. Taming them makes them safe and useful.

Steps:

1. Craft or obtain a Farmer's Treat

2. Hold it and approach a wild critter

3. Use the Farmer's Treat on the critter to tame it

4. The critter will now follow your commands and perform beneficial tasks

Using Soul Farmland for Easier Taming

Soul Farmland offers a passive taming method:

1. Place Soul Farmland near wild critters

2. Plant crops on the Soul Farmland

3. When crops mature, there's a 50% chance a nearby wild critter becomes tamed automatically

4. This works even while you're away, making it ideal for large-scale taming

Important Notes

Some critters like the Poisonous Potato Critter cannot be tamed and will remain dangerous. Always identify wild critter types before deciding whether to tame or remove them from your farm area.
