Set Up Automatic Door Closing
Enabling Auto-Close Behavior
Train doors can be configured to close automatically after a set period, simulating realistic passenger boarding procedures. This feature prevents doors from staying open indefinitely and adds immersion to your station.
Configuration Options
Right-click a door block to access its settings menu. Look for options related to auto-close timing or automatic closure behavior. You can typically adjust the delay before doors close, allowing passengers time to board or exit.
Testing Auto-Close
Open a door manually or via redstone signal, then step back and observe. The door should slide closed after the configured delay. This works on individual doors or across all doors in a linked carriage group, depending on how you've set them up. Auto-close is especially useful for busy stations where you want consistent timing between train stops.
