Troubleshoot Failed Wrench Placements
Why the Wrench Won't Place a Link
The
tuning wrench has built-in safety features. It refuses to place a redstone link if something is already occupying that space, preventing accidental overwrites or conflicts.
Common Issues and Fixes
Block Already Present Below Pipe
- Check two blocks directly beneath your target pipe
- Remove any blocks, redstone links, or other objects in that space
- Try the wrench again
Running Out of Redstone Links
- The tool consumes one redstone link from your inventory per pipe
- Craft or gather more redstone links before continuing
- Check your inventory to confirm you have enough
Wrong Tuning Mode Selected
- Verify your current mode by looking at the wrench tooltip
- Press Alt + scroll wheel to cycle through modes
- Select the mode that matches your build layout
Prevention Tips
Before tuning a large organ, clear the area two blocks below all pipes. Plan your relay system so redstone links have unobstructed placement space. Keep extra redstone links in your inventory while working.
