Switch Between Tuning Modes Quickly

Understanding All Tuning Modes

The tuning wrench has six modes total: three Traditional modes (for keyboard relays) and three Pitch Match modes (for MIDI). Each mode differs only in where and how the redstone link is oriented.

How to Change Modes

1. Hold the tuning wrench in your hand

2. Press and hold the Alt key

3. Scroll your mouse wheel up or down

4. Each scroll cycles to the next mode

5. Check the wrench tooltip to see your current mode

6. Release Alt when you've reached your desired mode

Mode Selection Strategy

For Keyboard Organs: Use any Traditional mode that matches your relay system's approach direction.

For MIDI Playback: Use any Pitch Match mode that fits your build layout.

Quick Switching: If you're tuning multiple organs with different purposes, cycle through modes between projects rather than switching tools.

Confirming Your Selection

Hover over the tuning wrench in your inventory or hand to view its tooltip. The tooltip clearly displays which mode is currently active, so you always know what will happen when you right-click a pipe.
