Understanding Pollution

If the pollution system is enabled in your world settings, furnaces and engines gradually release smoke and pollution into the air. High pollution causes dirt blocks to turn to ash and kills nearby plants, spreading environmental damage.

Installing Biofilters

1. Place Biofilter blocks around your factory or in areas with high pollution.

2. Biofilters actively clean the air in their surrounding radius.

3. Position multiple filters in heavily polluted zones for better coverage.

4. They work passively without requiring fuel or power input.

Reducing Pollution at the Source

Switch to renewable energy sources to minimize pollution generation:

• Use solar heaters and power towers instead of furnaces
• Run Steam Turbines powered by geothermal geysers or solar heat
• Replace fuel-burning engines with kinetic systems

Monitoring Your World

Watch for ash spreading and dead vegetation—these are signs pollution is building up. If your world feels too polluted, add more Biofilters or disable the pollution system entirely in your mod settings if you prefer a cleaner experience.
