Set Up Your First Solar Generator
Placement and Orientation
Find an open area with clear access to the sky. Place a Vertical
Solar Generator with its glass panel facing directly upward. Ensure there are no solid blocks above it within a reasonable distance—even partial obstruction will reduce output.
Connecting to Your Machinery
Once placed, the generator has kinetic output faces on its sides. Attach shafts, cogwheels, or other Create components to these faces to transmit rotational force to your machines. Use Engineer's Goggles to verify the generator is producing 16 RPM and 16 Stress Units during daylight (light level 12+).
Monitoring Performance
Equip Engineer's Goggles and look at the generator block to see real-time statistics. Output will drop to half speed during rain and zero at night. For consistent power, combine multiple generators or pair with other rotation sources to maintain operations during poor weather.
