Maximize Solar Sail Power Output
Building a Solar Windmill Setup
Place a
Solar Windmill Bearing under open sky. Attach Solar Sails to the bearing—you can use multiple sails in different dyed colors or clear versions. Each sail configuration produces different stress capacity: 8 sails generate 768 SU in rain and 1024 SU in full sun, while 16 sails double that output.
Optimizing Sail Arrangement
Arrange sails symmetrically around the bearing for balanced rotation. Clear sails and dyed variants function identically, so choose colors for aesthetics or organization. Ensure the bearing has complete sky access—any obstruction reduces generation.
Checking Your Setup
Use Engineer's Goggles to inspect stress capacity and RPM. Larger sail counts produce more stress but rotate slower. Match your sail count to your machinery's demands: small setups need fewer sails, while complex contraptions benefit from 16-sail configurations.
