Speed Up Item Transport with Kinetic Pumps
Understanding Item Pumps
Item pumps consume rotational stress from your Create power network to accelerate items through pneumatic tubes. Higher rotational speed equals faster item travel. A pump must be connected to both your kinetic power source and the
pneumatic tube network.
Installing a Pump
Place an
item pump adjacent to your pneumatic tube line and connect it to a shaft, gearbox, or other kinetic component from your power network. The pump will draw stress proportional to the speed you provide.
Optimizing Speed
Start with moderate rotational speed and increase it gradually. Watch for backups in your tubes—if items jam, either increase pump speed, add more pumps to different sections, or use flow sensors to detect clogs before they happen.
Multiple pumps can be placed along a single tube line to maintain speed over long distances. Each pump should connect to your kinetic network independently to distribute the load.
