Build and Control Your First Airship
Assemble the Core Structure
Start by building a ship frame using blocks from Create or your chosen building material. Attach a Wooden Helm to the frame—this is your steering wheel. You don't need redstone; the helm alone lets you control direction by right-clicking and moving your mouse.
Add Thrusters and Ballast
Place Thrusters on your ship's sides or rear and power them with rotational force from a Create motor or hand crank. Install a Tank Ballast filled with water to control your ship's buoyancy—more water makes it heavier and sink, less water makes it rise.
Launch and Steer
Once your ship is complete, stand on it and right-click the helm. Your mouse now controls pitch and yaw. Adjust
thruster power to move forward, backward, or hover. Use the ballast to fine-tune altitude by adding or removing water.
Stabilize Flight
If your airship tilts or spins uncontrollably, add Reaction Wheels to the frame. These spinning components automatically keep your ship level and stable during flight, especially useful for larger vessels.
