Troubleshoot Turret Targeting and Beam Issues

Line of Sight Problems

If your turret isn't attacking nearby mobs, check for obstructions between the turret and target. Walls, blocks, and even tall grass can break the line of sight. Reposition the turret higher or remove obstacles. Remember: the turret only locks on to hostiles within 17 blocks with a clear view.

Slow or No Beam Charging

Verify your power source is connected and running. Check the rotation speed (RPM) of your connected shaft. Very slow RPM causes long charge times; if the beam never fires, your power input may be too weak or disconnected entirely. Increase RPM by upgrading your power source.

Moving Your Turret

Never use a pickaxe on a placed turret—it takes extremely long and may cause issues. Always use a wrench to safely remove and redeploy it. This preserves the turret's state and ensures proper reinstallation.
