Handle and Reuse Waste Products from Refining
Understand Your Waste
Refining chains produce leftover materials:
Redmud: A thick byproduct from certain ore processing steps- Waste salts: Crystallized residue from chemical reactions
- Other tailings: Fine particles and unusable ore fragments
Store and Repurpose
Designate a waste storage area with large tanks or bins to collect these materials. Don't just dump them—some waste can be recycled back into your factory or used for decoration.
Redmud bricks, for example, serve as building blocks. Waste salts may feed back into chemical loops for other metal types. Organize your waste by type so you can easily identify what's available for reuse. As your factory scales, efficient waste management becomes critical to maintaining production flow and preventing backups in your refining lines.
