Build Your First Submarine Hull
Gather Materials
Start by collecting copper blocks and glass panes. Oxidized copper works well for a weathered aesthetic and provides structural integrity. You'll also need mechanical components from Create—gears, shafts, and casings—to make your submarine functional.
Construct the Hull
Build a watertight chamber using your chosen blocks. Glass panes let you see outside, so place them strategically for visibility. Make sure all gaps are sealed; water will leak through any opening. Create an interior space large enough to stand in and move around.
Add Propulsion
Inside your hull, install a Create motor connected to a power source. Attach a shaft system that drives a propeller or paddle wheel at the rear. The propeller must be exposed to water to function. Connect your power source—a furnace engine or other Create generator—and test rotation before sealing everything.
Install Oxygen System
Place oxygen tanks inside your submarine. These are essential for survival underwater. Position them where you can access them easily. Without oxygen, you'll suffocate even inside the hull.
Test and Refine
Pilot your submarine in shallow water first. Check for leaks, test steering, and ensure the propeller moves you forward. Make adjustments to weight distribution if it sinks too quickly or won't submerge.
