Using Crawl on Demand for Stealth, Hiding, and PvP

Crawling as a stealth tool

Because crawling lowers your profile, you present a smaller target and can move along the ground behind low cover such as fences, walls, and single-block ledges. In player-versus-player situations this makes you harder to spot from a distance and lets you approach along terrain that would expose a standing player.

Hiding in plain sight

Drop into a crawl behind a one-block wall or inside a shallow trench. From the other side, only a low silhouette is visible, which is easy to miss. Combine crawling with crouching and standing to change your height as you move, so you are not a predictable target.

Tactical movement

  • Crawl under low openings to reach flanking positions without mining.
  • Use crawl to slip through gaps in base walls that are only one block tall.
  • Crawl along the bottom of a moat or ditch to stay below the sightline of defenders.
  • Toggle back to standing only when you are ready to fight or flee.

Multiplayer note

The mod works on servers, so these tactics function in multiplayer as long as the server allows the mod. If crawling seems disabled, ask whether the server restricts movement mods. Otherwise, treat the crawl key as another movement option alongside sprint and sneak.
