Fixing Crawl on Demand Key Conflicts and Rebind Issues

The crawl key is not responding

If pressing Left Alt does nothing, the most common cause is a key bind conflict. Left Alt is sometimes used by other mods or by your operating system. Open the game's Key Binds menu, find the crawl entry, and check whether it is flagged as conflicting. Rebind it to a free key and test again.

Rebinding the crawl key

1. Open Options, then Controls, then Key Binds.

2. Locate the crawl action added by the mod.

3. Click its current key and press the key you want to use.

4. Save and return to the game.

5. Test in a safe, open area before relying on it in combat.

Other things to check

  • Make sure you are not holding the key expecting a hold-to-crawl behavior. The mod toggles, so a single press is enough.
  • If you cannot stand up, confirm there is open space above you; a low ceiling prevents standing.
  • If crawling stops working after adding another mod, revisit Key Binds — the new mod may have claimed your key.
  • On a server, confirm the mod is allowed; some servers restrict movement-changing mods.
