How to Use Crash Patch's Suggested Solutions to Fix a Crash
What the Solutions Screen Shows
When Crash Patch catches a crash, the recovery screen offers possible solutions alongside the option to view the log. These are pointers — usually the mod or mod combination most likely responsible, based on the error — not automatic fixes. You still apply the fix yourself.
Working Through the Suggestions
1. Note the mod or cause the screen highlights.
2. If it points to a single mod, try updating it first. If an update isn't available, temporarily disable it and reload the world to confirm it was the cause.
3. If it points to a conflict between mods, disable one of the pair and test. Re-enable it only after the other is updated or replaced.
4. After each change, relaunch and load the world. If the crash is gone, you've found it. If not, revert and try the next suggestion.
When Suggestions Don't Help
If none of the listed solutions resolve it, fall back to the crash log. Search the log for the mod name that appears most often near the top of the stack trace. That's your real suspect. Change one thing at a time so you always know which edit fixed or broke things, and keep a note of what you changed.
