How to Recover Your World After a Crash with Crash Patch
What Happens When a Crash Is Caught
When something goes wrong in-game, Crash Patch intercepts the error instead of letting Minecraft close. You'll be pulled out of the current world and dropped onto a recovery screen. Your world is not deleted — the mod simply exits to protect it from further damage.
Getting Back In
1. Read the short summary on the recovery screen so you know roughly what failed (a broken entity, a bad chunk, a misbehaving mod, etc.).
2. Choose the option to return to the game. Crash Patch will attempt to reload the world.
3. If the same crash repeats immediately, do not keep retrying blindly — the cause is still present. Instead, use the screen's options to open or upload the crash log so you can identify the culprit.
4. Once you've removed or fixed the problem (for example, disabling a mod that's throwing the error), reload the world again.
If You Can't Get Back In
If the world crashes on load every time, the recovery screen still lets you view possible solutions and open/upload the crash log. Share that log where you got help, or search it for the mod name that appears in the stack trace. Fixing or removing that mod is usually what lets the world open again.
