Understand Action Points and Turn-Based Combat

How Action Points Work

Combat in Craftics is turn-based and grid-based. Every turn, you have a limited pool of Action Points (AP) to spend on movement, attacks, and item use. Different actions cost different amounts of AP.

Common AP Costs:

  • Moving one tile costs AP
  • Attacking with a weapon costs AP (varies by weapon)
  • Using items or abilities costs AP

Once you've spent all your AP, your turn ends and enemies take theirs.

Tactical Positioning

Decide each turn whether to move closer, attack from range, use a support item, or hold position. Weapons have different attack shapes—some hit a single target, others hit multiple tiles in a line or area. Plan your positioning to maximize damage while minimizing incoming hits. Pay attention to boss attack warnings during special encounters; these telegraphed attacks let you move to safety before they land.

Managing AP efficiently is the core skill of Craftics combat.
