How to Update Crafted Core Without Breaking Dependent Mods

Understand the risk

Because Crafted Core is shared code, changing it can affect every mod that depends on it. Updating the core while leaving dependent mods on older versions can cause crashes, missing features, or silent misbehavior. The safe approach is to treat the core and its dependents as a set.

Update in the right order

First, note which mods depend on Crafted Core using your mod list or their metadata. Then update the dependent mods to versions built for your current Minecraft version, and update Crafted Core to a version built for that same Minecraft version and loader. Keep all of them matched to one Minecraft version — do not mix files across versions.

Test before committing

Back up your world and your mods folder before swapping files. Launch the game and load a test world. Watch the startup log for warnings about Crafted Core or its dependents. If the game starts cleanly, open the dependent mods' content — their items, blocks, or config screens — to confirm nothing is missing.

If something breaks

Revert to your backup and update one mod at a time, launching between each change. This isolates which update introduced the problem.
