Apply Potion Effects When Respawning

Enable the Effects Module

Open your Corpse Complex configuration through the config file or in-game GUI. Find and enable the respawn effects module.

Select Your Potion Effects

Browse the available potion effects list. You can use vanilla effects like Resistance, Weakness, Speed, or Haste, as well as any modded potion effects that are properly registered in your game.

Set Power and Duration

For each potion effect you want to apply, configure two values: the power level (amplifier) and how long the effect lasts after respawning. Higher power means stronger effects; duration is measured in game ticks.

Example Configuration

You might apply Resistance II for 30 seconds to reduce respawn damage, or Speed I for 60 seconds to help players escape danger quickly.

Test on Respawn

Die in your world and respawn to confirm the effects are applied correctly. Check your status effects screen to verify power levels and durations match your settings.

Explore Custom Effects

For advanced customization, the mod also supports creating a custom effect called "Memento Mori" that can modify player attributes in unique ways beyond standard potions.
