Using CorgiLib's Blending and Easing Codecs in a Datapack Config

CorgiLib registers a codec registry for blending and easing functions, which means mods that depend on it can let you pick an easing curve directly from a config or datapack file instead of hardcoding one. If a mod's config exposes an easing or blend field, this is what powers it.

What the Field Expects

Easing fields are serialized as a named function rather than a formula. You supply the identifier the registry knows about, and the mod applies that curve to whatever it animates — fade-ins, camera moves, particle ramps, and similar transitions. Blending functions work the same way but describe how two values are mixed together rather than how a single value accelerates.

Editing It Safely

1. Locate the config or datapack file containing the easing/blend entry.

2. Note the current value before changing anything, so you can restore it.

3. Replace the name with another registered function and reload.

If the game rejects your value, the identifier is wrong or that function isn't registered in your version — put the original back. Because these are codec-backed, an invalid name fails loudly at load rather than silently doing nothing, which makes troubleshooting straightforward. Test one field at a time so you know which change caused a problem.
