Multiplayer Server Setup with CorgiLib Mods
Server Requirements
If you're running a server with mods that use CorgiLib, install CorgiLib on the server. It must match the version your clients are using.
Client Setup
Each player connecting to the server needs CorgiLib installed on their client as well. Mismatched versions between server and client cause connection failures.
Configuration Sync
Server-side configurations are controlled by the .json5 files in the server's config folder. Clients cannot override server settings. If you need to adjust mod behavior, edit the server's config files and restart the server.
Troubleshooting Connection Issues
If players can't join and the log mentions CorgiLib, verify:
- CorgiLib is installed on both server and client
- Versions match exactly
- No config files are corrupted on the server
Have all players delete their local CorgiLib config files and reconnect—they'll sync with the server's settings.
