How to Recover Enchantments from Enchanted Tools

Extract Enchantments to Books

When you have an enchanted tool or weapon you no longer need, the Deconstruction Table can transfer those enchantments onto vanilla books for reuse.

1. Place your enchanted item into the Deconstruction Table

2. The table will break down the item and convert its enchantments into enchanted books

3. Collect the resulting enchanted books from the output

4. Use these books with an Anvil to apply the enchantments to new tools

Why This Matters

This prevents enchantments from being lost when you upgrade gear or change tools. Instead of crafting new enchanted items from scratch, you can recycle valuable enchantments and apply them exactly where you need them. This is especially useful for rare or high-level enchantments that would be expensive to obtain again.
