How to Combine Continents Mod with Terralith, Biomes O' Plenty, or Oh The Biomes You'll Go
Why Combine Them
Continents Mod only changes how landmasses are shaped and separated — it does not add new biomes by itself. Terralith, Biomes O' Plenty, and Oh The Biomes You'll Go add biome variety. Together, you get continents and islands populated with those mods' biomes.
Setup Steps
1. Install Continents Mod alongside your chosen biome mod(s) in the same mod loader profile.
2. Create a new world. Existing worlds generated without the biome mod will not retroactively gain its biomes in already-loaded chunks.
3. In the world creation screen, pick the world type you want. The mod supports the vanilla "Large Biomes" world type, which makes continents and oceans even more expansive — useful if you want truly massive landmasses.
4. Generate the world and explore. You should see biome mod terrain appearing on the continents and islands rather than vanilla biomes only.
Things to Watch For
- Mixing multiple biome mods at once can cause biome placement conflicts or odd transitions. Start with one biome mod plus Continents Mod, then add more only if you are comfortable troubleshooting.
- Because continents are separated by wide oceans, some biomes from your biome mod may be rare or hard to reach. Use a map mod or the locate command for biomes if available.
- If biomes look wrong or missing, verify load order and that all mods target the same Minecraft version.
