How to Combine Continents With Terralith or Another WorldGen Mod
Continents is built to be compatible with any existing WorldGen mod, including Terralith. It changes ocean frequency without touching biome distribution, so layering it on top of another generator is safe.
Load order and setup
1. Install your WorldGen mod (Terralith, or any other) as usual.
2. Add the Continents data pack alongside it, in the same world or global data pack location.
3. Create a new world and verify both are active in the data pack screen.
4. Generate the world. You should see the other mod's biomes and terrain features, but with continents separated by large oceans.
What to expect
- Biome placement is unchanged. If a biome appeared at a certain coordinate with your WorldGen mod alone, it appears at the same coordinate with Continents added.
- Only the ratio of ocean to land changes. Land becomes continents, archipelagos, and islands rather than one sprawling mass.
- The same seed produces the same landmasses and regions across different WorldGen mods, so you can share seeds with friends using a different generator and still find the same continents.
If something looks wrong
Check that the data pack is actually enabled. If biomes are missing or terrain looks broken, the WorldGen mod may not be loading — reorder or reinstall it, then regenerate.
