How to Hide "Can't keep up!" and Other Spammy Server Warnings
Find the config file
After installing Console Filter Mod, run the game or server once so the config file is generated. Open the config folder in your instance or server directory and locate the Console Filter config file. Open it with any plain text editor.
Add your filter strings
Look for the basicFilters list. This is where you paste the exact text of any message you want gone. Each entry is a string in quotes, separated by commas inside square brackets. For example, to silence the classic lag warning and movement warnings, your list would look like the example shown on the wiki page, with entries for "Can't keep up!" and "Player moved too quickly!".
Save the file and restart the game or server. From now on, any console line containing one of those substrings is suppressed before it prints.
Tips
- Matching is substring-based, so a short fragment like
Can't keep upcatches every variant of that warning. - Add one entry per line for readability; trailing commas are not allowed in the list.
- If a message still appears, check for typos, capitalization differences, or hidden color codes in the original line.
- Keep a backup of the config before editing so you can revert if you filter too much.
