Understanding the Visual Changes to Classic Signs

What's Different

The Consistent Signs Resource Pack modifies how classic wooden and stone signs appear in your world. The most noticeable change is the shading applied to sign icons—these now display with uniform, consistent shading across all sign variants. This creates a cleaner appearance in your inventory and when signs are placed.

How to See the Changes

1. In your inventory: Craft or obtain any classic sign (oak, birch, spruce, jungle, acacia, dark oak, mangrove, cherry, bamboo, or crimson/warped variants).

2. Look at the icon: You'll notice the sign face now has smooth, consistent shading rather than the default flat appearance.

3. In the world: Place signs and observe how they render with the improved visual polish.

4. Compare variants: All wood types now share the same shading style, creating visual harmony across your builds.

The changes are purely cosmetic and don't affect sign functionality—they still work exactly as normal signs do for displaying text and interacting with redstone.
