Claim and Defend Your First Territory

Understanding Territory Control

The Conquest Territory System lets you claim land and expand your faction's influence. Territory control is central to progression—holding land grants you access to faction-specific crafting tables and protects your settlements from rival factions.

How to Claim Land

1. Locate a Command Table in a nearby settlement or craft one at your base

2. Open the Command Table interface to view available territories on the map

3. Select an unclaimed or enemy-held region adjacent to your current holdings

4. Initiate a conquest by committing troops or resources (exact costs vary by territory size and current holder)

5. Once claimed, the territory becomes yours—faction guards will spawn to defend it

Defending Your Territory

Rival factions and hostile creatures will attempt to reclaim your lands. Station troops through the Command Table and regularly check on vulnerable borders. Upgrade your settlements with defensive structures when possible. Maintain good standing with allied factions to prevent coordinated attacks. If a territory falls, you can reclaim it, but you'll lose any stationed troops and resources invested there.
