Setting Up Your First Factory Machine

Getting Started

Place a factory machine and open its menu to begin. Use the color-coded side configuration buttons to designate which sides accept inputs, outputs, and fuel. This gives you complete control over item flow without needing external pipes.

Add items to the input slots—the machine automatically distributes them across matching slots to speed up processing. If you want finished items to move automatically into adjacent chests, enable auto-export.

The machine only burns fuel when actively cooking, saving resources. You can lock specific input slots to particular recipes, preventing wrong items from jamming production. Higher tiers unlock more input slots: Tier 1 has two, Tier 2 has four, and Tier 3 has six, letting you scale your operation as needed.
