How to Spawn Individual Jigsaw Pieces with /spawnpieces
Why Spawn Pieces Separately
When a full structure fails to assemble, the problem is usually one bad piece or connector. /spawnpieces lets you place a single jigsaw piece from a template so you can inspect its connectors, bounding box, and orientation in isolation. This is far faster than spawning the whole structure and hunting for the broken part.
Running the Command
Stand at the spot where you want the piece and run /spawnpieces <piece_id>. The piece ID points to the structure template (the .nbt file) you want to test. The command places that one piece at your position, oriented according to the arguments you supply. Use the rotation argument to check that the piece's jigsaw blocks face the correct directions — a connector pointing the wrong way is the most common cause of assembly failures.
Reading the Connectors
After placing a piece, look at its jigsaw blocks. Each has a target pool name and a name that must match a connector in the pool it draws from. If a piece spawns but never gets used in a full structure, its connector name or target pool is probably mismatched. Spawn the piece, note the connector data, then compare it against the pool JSON. Fix the mismatch, reload, and re-test with /spawnstructure.
