How to Debug Placed Features with /spawnplacedfeature

What a Placed Feature Adds

A placed feature wraps a configured feature with placement modifiers — count, rarity, heightmap, biome filter, and similar rules. That means a configured feature can be perfect while its placed version never shows up, because a placement modifier rejects every candidate position. /spawnplacedfeature <placed_feature_id> runs the full placed feature at your location so you can see whether the placement logic actually produces output.

Running the Command

Stand where you want the placement attempt to originate and run the command with the placed feature's namespaced ID. Unlike spawning the raw configured feature, this respects the placement modifiers, so if the feature fails to appear you know the problem is in the placement rules rather than the feature itself. Compare the result against /spawnfeature with the same underlying configured feature to isolate which layer is broken.

Interpreting Failures

If /spawnfeature works but /spawnplacedfeature does not, inspect the placement modifiers in order. A heightmap or count modifier that is too restrictive, or a biome filter that excludes your current biome, will silently block placement. Loosen one modifier at a time, reload, and re-run the command until the feature appears, then tighten it back toward your intended values.
