How to Configure Mob Guard and Stamina Behavior in Combat Evolution

Understanding the Config Options

Combat Evolution exposes configuration for mob stamina, guard actions, and execution visuals. Open your config folder and locate the Combat Evolution config file. Inside you will find sections for stamina handling, guard mechanics, and execution icon settings. Stamina governs how often a mob can perform combat actions such as guarding or attacking; guard mechanics determine whether a mob can block or reduce incoming damage during combat. Execution visuals control what icon appears when you finish off a neutralized target.

Adjusting Values for Your Playstyle

If you want tougher fights, raise the stamina pool so mobs can chain more combat actions before tiring. If you prefer faster, more punishing combat, lower it. For guard behavior, you can typically toggle whether mobs are allowed to guard at all, and how interruptible those guard actions are. Behavior interruption settings let you decide whether a mob's current action can be cancelled by taking damage or by a player action. Execution icon settings let you swap between the default icon and a custom one you have registered. After editing, save the file and reload the world or restart the game so the changes take effect. Test against a few mobs to confirm the feel before committing to a full playthrough.
