Dye a Tree to a Custom Color

Gather Your Materials

Collect a dye in your chosen color from any source (crafting, mining, or trading). You'll also need access to a tree—any wood type works.

Dye the Tree In-World

1. Locate a tree you want to recolor

2. Hold the dye in your hand

3. Right-click on the tree's wood blocks or leaves

4. The tree block will change to match your dye color

Tips

• You can dye individual blocks or entire trees piece by piece
• Different tree types (oak, birch, spruce, etc.) all support dyeing
• The dye is consumed when used, so gather enough for large projects
• Leaves and wood can be dyed separately for creative color combinations
• If you make a mistake, you can dye over the block again with a different color
