Craft Your First Colored Torch

Basic Crafting Recipe

Colored torches follow the same crafting pattern as vanilla torches, but use dyed sticks instead of regular ones.

1. Prepare dyed sticks: Craft regular sticks, then combine them with dye in a crafting grid to create dyed sticks. You'll need one dyed stick per torch.

2. Gather coal or charcoal: Collect coal from mining or charcoal from smelting wood logs.

3. Craft the torch: Place one dyed stick above one piece of coal/charcoal in a crafting grid (vertical arrangement, like vanilla torches).

4. Collect your colored torch: You'll receive colored torches matching your dye color.

Tips

• Each dye color produces a corresponding torch color—red dye makes red torches, blue dye makes blue torches, and so on.
• You can mass-produce colored torches by dyeing multiple sticks at once, then crafting them in batches.
• Colored torches function identically to vanilla torches: they provide light, prevent mobs from spawning, and can be placed on blocks and walls.
