Understanding the Radiation System

The mod features a three-phase radiation system. Exposure causes progressive debuffs: hunger in phase one, slowness in phase two, and blindness in phase three. Radiation appears in specific biomes and near radioactive ores like autunite.

Protective Gear

The MK50 Armor set is specifically designed to block radiation sickness. Equip this suit before entering contaminated areas. Other specialized armor like the Pressure Suit offers environmental protection for different hazards.

Radiation Chests

Use lead-lined radiation chests to safely store radioactive materials and ores. These chests prevent radiation leakage into your base and protect stored items from decay.

Mining Radioactive Ores

When mining autunite and other radioactive ores, always wear appropriate protective gear first. Collect these ores for crafting advanced weapons and ammunition. Store harvested radioactive materials in shielded containers immediately to prevent contamination of your settlement and inventory.
