Understanding CoFH Fluids

CoFH Core introduces several new fluids beyond water and lava: Essence of Knowledge (liquid experience), Honey, Potion, and Steam. Each has unique properties and uses in crafting and machines.

Collecting and Storing Fluids

Use buckets, tanks, or fluid containers to collect these new fluids. Essence of Knowledge can be obtained by liquidizing experience, while Honey is typically produced by bees or specific machines. These fluids can be piped through compatible mod systems or stored in fluid storage blocks.

Using Fluids in Recipes

Many CoFH mod machines and recipes require these fluids as inputs. Essence of Knowledge is especially valuable for enchanting and experience-based crafting. Honey serves both culinary and crafting purposes. Check individual machine GUIs to see which fluids they accept and what they produce.

Fluid automation becomes important when working with multiple machines—consider setting up pipes or ducts to move fluids efficiently between sources and consumers.
