Use the Holding Enchantment to Expand Storage

What the Holding Enchantment Does

The Holding enchantment increases the storage capacity of compatible items. This is particularly useful for bags, pouches, and other storage containers added by CoFH mods and compatible mods.

Finding and Applying Holding

Holding can be found on enchanted books or applied through an enchanting table. Higher levels of Holding provide greater capacity increases. Check the item's tooltip to see how much extra storage space the enchantment grants.

Best Items to Enchant

Focus on enchanting portable storage items—bags, satchels, and similar containers that you carry with you. The enchantment works best on items designed to hold multiple stacks of materials. Some storage items have a maximum Holding level they can accept, so check before investing resources into high-level books.

Combining Holding with other useful enchantments can create a powerful portable storage solution for mining trips and exploration.
