Configuring the Mod to Change XP Rewards
Finding and Editing the Config
Cobblemon: PlayerXP includes a config file that you can edit manually to change how much XP battles award. The config is generated in your Minecraft instance's config folder after the mod runs once. Look for a file named after the mod (for example, something like playerxp or cobblemon_playerxp — the exact filename matches the mod's ID).
Open it with a plain text editor. You will typically find options that control whether XP is granted, how much is granted, and possibly whether levels or raw XP points are given.
Applying Your Changes
1. Close Minecraft before editing the config to avoid the file being overwritten on shutdown.
2. Change the values you want. If you are unsure what a value does, change one thing at a time so you can tell what caused any difference.
3. Save the file.
4. Restart the game and fight a battle to confirm the new values are in effect.
If the config does not appear, run the game once with the mod installed, then check the folder again. On servers, edit the config on the server side and restart the server. Keep a backup of the original file so you can revert if a change makes battles give too little or too much XP.
