Understand Basalt Requirements
Basalt generators need two specific inputs: lava and blue ice. Unlike cobblestone, this combination produces basalt blocks instead. Blue ice is rarer than regular ice, so plan your supply chain accordingly.
Set Up the Generator
1. Place a generator block (any tier works, but higher tiers are faster).
2. Supply lava to one input and blue ice to the other.
3. The generator will begin producing basalt automatically.
4. Use hoppers or manual collection to gather the basalt blocks.
Scale Your Operation
If you need large amounts of basalt, consider setting up multiple generators in parallel. Higher-tier generators (Gold, Diamond, Netherite) produce basalt significantly faster, making them worthwhile investments if you're building with basalt extensively. Store excess blue ice nearby to keep production running smoothly.
