How to Use Clean Swords on a Server or With Friends

Resource packs like Clean Swords are client-side, meaning only you see the change. Other players on a server will still see vanilla swords unless they install the pack themselves. Here is how to get the most out of it in multiplayer.

Client-Side Setup

1. Install Clean Swords in your own resource pack list as usual.

2. Join any server — vanilla, modded, or a realm. The pack applies to your view automatically.

3. Confirm it is active by checking a sword in your hotbar after joining.

Sharing With Friends

• Tell friends to install the same pack and place it in the same load-order position if they use other packs.
• If a server offers a server resource pack, it may override Clean Swords. Move Clean Swords above the server pack in your list to keep the clean blades.
• On servers that force a resource pack, you can still keep Clean Swords on top locally; the server pack will handle everything else.

Things to Expect

• PvP opponents using vanilla textures will still look normal to themselves.
• Screenshots and recordings you take will show the clean swords, since the pack is rendered on your client.
• No server-side installation or permission is needed.
