How to Fix Clean Swords Not Showing Up In-Game

If you installed Clean Swords but your swords still look like vanilla, the problem is almost always load order or a conflicting pack. This guide walks through the usual fixes.

Check Resource Pack Order

1. Go to Options → Resource Packs.

2. Look at the Selected column on the right. Packs higher in the list override packs below them.

3. Drag Clean Swords above any other pack that changes item or weapon textures.

Rule Out Conflicts

• Temporarily disable every other resource pack except Clean Swords. If the swords now look clean, re-enable your other packs one at a time to find the one overriding it.
• Some packs bundle their own sword textures even if they mainly change blocks or GUI. Those will hide Clean Swords unless Clean Swords sits above them.
• If you use a mod that adds custom swords, those weapons may keep their own textures. Clean Swords only affects the vanilla sword set.

Reload Without Restarting

Press F3 + T to reload all resource packs in-game. This is faster than quitting and relaunching, and it applies any order changes you just made.
